Label rewinder – clean winding up to 500 mm
Positioned behind thermal and thermal transfer printers, the Evotec label rewinder collects liner, matrix waste and printed labels. Even web tension builds tight, layer-true rolls up to 500 mm in diameter at 20 kg. Plug-ready for 230 V, manufactured in Germany.

Why the Label rewinder?
Sagging liner disrupts every label run at the printer. This is precisely where the unit steps in: it draws the backing web off under tension and stacks it evenly on a 76 mm core. What you get are tidy shipping rolls that no longer need anyone tending them by hand.
Why the Label rewinder?
Tension-controlled winding drive
The motor maintains an even pulling torque across the web, while the spring-loaded dancer arm balances print speed against liner tension.
Large label rolls without telescoping
Up to a 500 mm outer dimension and 20 kg, the rolls run on cleanly. Layer upon layer forms a transport-firm wind that neither drifts nor walks sideways.
Built-in control on the 230 V mains
Drive and control electronics sit inside the housing, and operation starts straight from 230 V. A separate cabinet is dropped entirely at the labelling station.
In step with printer and dispenser
In dispensing mode the unit tracks the thermal or thermal transfer printer as it runs. Stepless 0 to 100 percent control and a reversible running direction align it with dispensers and applicators.
From the maker, with custom builds
You handle the purchase straight through Evotec, no intermediary involved. Differing cores, wider webs and fitting into running labelling lines follow by arrangement.
Rugged for label converting
A torsionally stiff aluminium profile withstands the sustained load of label production. Final assembly takes place at Evotec GmbH in Arnsberg.

Winding drive with a sprung dancer arm
Labels and liner travel onto the core evenly via a strong motor. As the wind diameter grows, the sprung dancer arm absorbs the difference and secures an even pulling torque.
- Even pulling torque from the first to the last wind revolution
- Stepless 0 to 100 percent control tuned to the print pace
- Reversible running direction for inside or outside wound labels
- Built-in control electronics with no separate cabinet
Where the label rewinder is used
Liner behind the label printer
Right behind thermal transfer printers the unit collects the outgoing backing web and stops the liner sagging in dispensing mode.
Removing matrix waste
The matrix waste arising during die-cutting is taken up under tension, so the workstation stays clear and no material jam forms at the dispenser.
Forming shipping rolls
Printed label webs run onto 76 mm cores into firm shipping rolls for dispatch, storage and further processing.
Preparing the dispenser feed
For automatic dispensing units, label rolls are conditioned so the liner feeds in tensioned and free of slack loops.
Processing slim webs
From the 100 mm standard up to special widths, slim webs run through, and the unit lays down even thin liner free of creases.
Building winds up to 20 kg
Heavy label and liner winds up to 500 mm in diameter and 20 kg form via even web tension and a stable profile.

Custom builds and integration into the line
We tailor the unit to your printing and dispensing routine. Differing dimensions and a hook-up to existing converting equipment can be carried out by arrangement.
- Core mount beyond the 76 mm standard
- Extended web widths above 100 mm
- Fitting behind printers and applicators already in place
- Bespoke production for clearly defined shipping rolls
