Label rewinder – questions & answers

Answers to common questions about the Label rewinder and handling label rolls.

Does the label rewinder work behind any printer?

Yes. Set up beside thermal and thermal transfer printers, it removes the outgoing backing web or the printed label web. You set pace and running direction to match the printer.

Which core diameters can be supplied?

As standard the unit runs a 76 mm core. Other core diameters we build as a special version by arrangement.

How large do the label rolls grow?

Up to a 500 mm outer dimension and 20 kg in weight. That is enough for sizeable liner and label rolls with no further unit.

Does the liner stay tensioned during printer stops?

Yes. Stops and pace changes are absorbed by the sprung dancer arm, so the backing web does not sag and the layers stay firm.

Is the unit also suited to matrix waste?

Yes. The matrix waste from die-cutting is removed under tension, keeps the station clear and prevents material jams.

Which web widths run through the machine?

As standard 100 mm web width is provided. Wider or narrower label webs we cover via special widths by arrangement.

Which power connection does the machine need?

It is prepared for 230 V. Control and drive belong to it, so you only plug in and start.

Are special versions for our label line feasible?

Yes. As the maker we carry out special measurements, bespoke machine building and fitting into existing label printing lines by arrangement.
